How to Fix Windows Will Not Boot (Registry Error)

Posted by BLOGGER MARS on Thursday, January 26, 2012

The computer that we use may have experienced damage to the system (Registry) that will not boot or get into windows. Damage to this registry can occur for many things, such as conflict software is installed, viruses so on. What signs of damage the registry and how to cope if this happens ?

The first thing to note is read what the error message or warning (warning) when computer problems. If necessary, write what the final look or message that appears on the screen (which we can use to find solution from the internet). Not all errors due to damage to windows registry. Damage to windows Registry are usually marked by the emergence of a message like the following :

- Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : \Windows\System32\Config\System or \Windows\System32\Config\Software

-  Stop : c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file) : \SystemRoot\System32\Config\Software or its log or alternate

- System error :Lsass.exe
When trying to update a password the return status indicates that the value provided as the current  password is not correct.

In addition to the example above error message, probably still a lot of similar messages that appear when the system /registry windows were damaged. If the computer when booting or restarting stop only in error messages like the above,it can try the following easy steps :

1. Restart Windows
2. Then press,press the F8 key until the display appears as follows ;

For Windows 7 :

3. From Option, select the last known good configuration (for Windows XP there is a description : that your most recent settings worked)
4. If running smootly should be able to go back into Windows

After the step above, there may be some program or software installed recently could not walk perfectly. This is because it could be a data backup windows registry has not saved the configuration of this software is installed,so the software needs to reinstall,it's like what I experienced yesteday.

If the above steps do not succeed, then it probably has to do with the manual steps. The point is to replace the windows registry files are corrupted. Windows registry files exists in the location c:\windows\system32\config,the file is :

- System
- Software
- Sam
- Security
- Default

Registry backup files are usually in the folder C:\Windows\repair. To replace the files above, could use a bootable CD/Flash or manually using windows repairs, steps can be seen more at support.microsoft.com
